He was a singer, songwriter, musician, and producer. Her mother, Hattie L Smith, also a singer, was her church minister of music. Erin sat up under her leadership as well. Born and raised in church, Erin has always had a love for God and music.
She began writing poetry at the age of 9 and putting it to music as she learned to play by ear at the age of 12. She began writing songs for the church plays, the youth choir, and soloist in the city. She wrote and produced all of the music for her brother, Ryan Smith’s, play Choirboy. Erin also created her own tracks to sing, which enabled her to perform original music.
Erin started a group called eChe’(E-Shay) & Praise. The group debuted on July 7, 2007. They performed only original material all written by Erin Jones. After years of pursuing a musical career, she finally released her first single entitled Sideline, available on all digital platforms.
